Horrible customer service. Ordered cooling unit and it's a month late. They told me on the phone after several attempts of contact to call the manufacturer because they just sell the unit. What!!!??? I didn't buy it from them unexceptable.

Horrible horrible horrible customer service experience!!!!!!
We bought six racks and spend nearly $5000
We ended up needing only 5 racks
We started the return process and they asked us to get an insurance so we paid over $150 for shipping and insurance
They only refunded us for %50 of the merchandise. They said the package was damaged but they couldn’t send us any proof that was damaged through FedEx and not their own Wearhouse
The insurance company asked for proofs and they never send it to us so we couldn’t claim it through to the insurance .
This was a horrible experience.
Will not recommend them to anyone

As stated on our website: Outside of returns due to manufacturer error, the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Products sold by Wine Racks America but manufactured by a third party (cooling systems, fridges, metal wine racks, wine cellar flooring, etc.) are subject to the return policies and restocking fees determined by each manufacturer.
We also include on the request form that each customer signs prior to returning: It is recommended to insure your packages. Items that arrive damaged will only receive partial credit based on usable/resalable parts.
All this information was given before the wine racks were authorized for return. We also provided photos(proof) of the damages incurred during shipping, by the shipper you chose, which was a 3rd party that uses FedEx to ship and could have easily still filed the claim, but chose not to. You and the shipper also could have easily taken photos of how the items were boxed prior to them giving it to FedEx. There is no proof the damages did not occur with your 3rd party shipper at their facility, before it was even in the hands of FedEx.
Logically speaking, it would not benefit us in any way to damage the products at our warehouse and STILL issue a refund, because we are out the product and the money.
We apologize for the experience you received with your shipper, we advise you leave a negative review with them instead.

1. The two sides of Arch were drilled incorrect holes to be attached. We switched the sides and they were still not right. We talked to the support and were told to nail them anyways. The result was the top panel could not be attached because the incorrect positions of the nails that caused the gap in between;
2. Poor Customer Support: we called because we had questions. We were guided in correctly. When we complained, we were advised to 'redo' it again.
3. The instruction of assembling was lack of clarity: we figured out for the most part ourselves. However, on the final part "to install the Arch," the instruction showed no details other than "install on." It needs
to be secured on the wine storage base. We figured to just clue it on because it would be really hard to
drill the nails holes. You can't just leave it on the tasting table; anybody including my little dog could knock it over.Everybody makes mistakes, it's how we rise from the mistakes that matters. The most disappointing
experience was the "customer service." It took some hours to figure out the assembling and some more hours to put it together ourselves. At the end when there were issues, we didn't have more hours to go back and forth on "assembling" again. As a matter of fact, we were actually the "return" customers that
we had bought from this company before. But after this one, we will take our business somewhere else.

I built an entire wine room in our home and it has become the centerpiece of our house. I worked with Jeremy Whitesides and got a lot of great support from Jacquie, their office manager.
They helped me with designs and drawings to suit my space. They were able to calculate the size of the cooling unit required (needed extra due to a large window). This is a ducted unit and it is was installed by my HVAC company with ease. They also recommended the right racking and cabinets. These were installed by our handyman in 2 hours. The best part - by far - was the wine room floor from reclaimed barrels. Every single person in the house notices it and I would highly recommend it.
I had never heard of them before my experience, but am glad I discovered them. This is a company with great staff, integrity, and fantastic support. Jeremy and Jacquie were rockstars and made the entire process so easy. A+++

My experience started out great but ended up a complete fail. Jeremy was helpful & tried to design a custom wine rack for my new cellar....but turns out they don’t actually make custom racks. He sent me two “tasting table” racks, cut them down (apparently that makes them “custom”) & removed the table tops...and sent several pieces of molding in various sizes to cover up the “seams” ....none of which fit my opening. On top of that, they painted it the wrong color. I ordered walnut, & paid extra for the satin finish but they sent black. When I called to return it, they wouldn’t accept it. They came up with what they thought was a great fix....& sent more molding pieces, another rack piece (?) & half a can of black paint. Still all wrong. I’m now stuck with a Frankenstein rack that I paid over $1,300.00 for & is completely useless. My contractor was going to install it... but took one look at the mess it is and was able to make a custom rack that fits perfectly for a cost of $40 in materials. Wine Racks America does NOT make custom wine racks & they don’t stand behind their poorly designed, poorly made, overpriced products...even when they make the mistakes. You’ll do better getting a kit from IKEA.
Pictures attached are what they sent...last picture is completed wine rack my contractor built. Obviously not a complex design but not one Wine Racks America was able to do.

This review is strictly for the experience I had with Wine Rack America (WRA) for purchasing a wine cooling unit which there are few reviews about. Nearly all reviews for Wine Rack America are for their Wine Rack systems.
I recently purchased a WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount Cooling Unit from Wine Rack America. I spoke to them in detail prior to purchasing to make sure it was the right size unit, specs are correct for my house, etc. They seemed to understand what unit size was required but they also made it sound like a very simple unit that would require a standard installation with a HVAC sub contractor. That was not the case, they apparently require a very specific type of installation that only a few installers in metro areas are trained for.
The unit was installed by my HVAC sub Contractor who just installed five split system units in my new home. Unfortunately, the wine cooler never worked properly due to many defective parts in the machine. When contacting WRA, I had a very bad experience with their customer service as they tried to blame the installation instead of a defective product. The same thing happened with WhisperKOOL customer service. They both balmed the installer for bad work and refused to believe that their unit had defective parts. I was forced to hire one WhisperKOOL's only three metro area installers to attempt to fix it. The cost was upwards for $4,500 to repair a $3,500 machine. Still, when requesting WRA or WhisperKOOL to speak with the technician that they recommended and I hired, so he can explain that there were defective parts, they did not want to do so. WhisperKOOL's warranty only covers $250 which is not even enough t to get a technician to the house so I had to bear these costs myself on top of paying for the original installation of the unit.
Two things to come out with:
1. WRA should not be selling split system cooling units to consumers. A company called Wine Racks America, should be sticking to selling Wine Racks. They are not equipped to sell cooling units on both the sales side and the customer service end. The same way as online retailers aren't directly selling you a Trane or Carrier Split System for a home. These are purchased through HVAC contractors only and installed by them.
2. I would not buy this particular WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mounting Unit. It is a very expensive unit and very fragile unit and I believe their other units are similar in quality. For half the total price, you can get a traditional split system unit that will run more quietly and carry a better warranty. Finding a company to handle maintenance is also much easier to find.
I hope this review helps and wish I would have read something similar prior to purchasing that unit.

Working with Wine Racks America was a great experience. Stormi was extremely helpful and worked with me through my design needs. They provided renderings and plans and shipped samples out very quickly. The end result is a great quality high end wine rack that looks awesome! I would highly recommend Wine Racks America.
