Emily Hurley Hi Matt, There is actually a limit on how many photos can appear in an ideabook. There is a work around, however. If you go to your ideabook and click "Edit", you will see all 941 photos. From there, your best bet is to create a few new ideabooks to move and organize them into categories. If they are spread out in a few different books, you should be able to view all of them more easily. (And maybe find what you are looking for more quickly too!)
genevajamie I have added photos to an ideabook (only one) and invited a friend. She can see what I posted but I can't. When I went to the link she was sent for my ideabook it is empty. When I go to my Houzz, it says there are no photos. How do I access my ideabook? Thanks.
Are you possibly accessing the site through the iPad app? You may need to sync your app. To do so, turn your iPad in landscape mode, go to your Houzz page, then tap the circular icon you see in the upper right corner.
Can you forward the link she was sent to us at support(at)houzz.com so we can take a look?
bhrs I have the same problem with mattkels and I don't seem to be able to find the organize button.I tried to create a new ideabook but I still can't reach my other photos. Could you please help me wtih it?
Emily Hurley Hi bhrs, Sorry about that. The button has changed since this was posted several months ago. Go to your ideabook and click on the edit button to see your other photos and select them to move to new smaller ideabooks.
Four Seasons Realty Once I create an idea book how do others find it? I want to make one of the ideabooks public so others can view it and the rest private so only I can see them. Is this an option?
Emily Hurley Hi there, You can find any ideabooks you create by visiting your profile. Any ideabooks that are public will show there for visitors to that page. To mark some of your ideabooks private, just go to the ideabook, click Collaborate, then select private and save that setting. Hope that helps!
smdonohue my ideabooks are all present on the website but in the last update to the iPad app they no longer show when I am using the app. i do not have two accounts and I have logged out and back in on both sites (web and app)
coocoocouture I have many idea books and really need to find a way to organize them, preferably alphabetically. Is this possible and where do I find it? Thanks in advance!
Emily Hurley Hi there, If you go to your profile and view your ideabooks, you can drag and drop them into the order you would like them to appear. Hope that helps!
Emily Hurley Hi Greye, Can you shoot us a quick email at support(at)houzz.com and give us some details on what exactly is happening for you and how you are accessing the site? (App vs. browser and version?)
annyf Greye: I'm using my iPad and I can't access the idea books either. There is a green ribbon on the upper corner of the idea books tab. I've been using this site for a long time and just in the last couple of days the idea books won't open! :-(
lakefam I have the same problem as annyf. All categories are ok but no Ideabooks. I also have the green ribbon. It has been this way for several days. Help!
greye I deleted my houzz app and reinstalled. My ideabooks was accessible for a while after that. But I cannot access it anymore on my iPad. So I will try deleting it again. But I hope it doesn't happen a lot.
Emily Hurley HI Guys, Thanks for the heads up. Deleting and reinstalling has solved this issue most of the time, but if that is now working for you, shoot us a quick email to support(at)houzz.com and we will dig in a bit more.
My idea books doesn't work anymore. But if I get an email and it is me if I want to open in the app it will open in the app. But then it disappears. Hope everyone works out the bugs. I love hours
Iconic Floors I want my ideabook(s) to be private, only viewable by myself and those I invite. Is that the default or is it possible to set it up this way?
Jan Hellie Rats. I know I signed in and created at least two ideabooks. Now when I go back to find them: zip, nada, nothing there. I am not accessing through a portable device. Grrr. Hate starting over.
Emily Hurley @iconicfloors You can set your ideabooks to private by visiting them, clicking collaborate, then selecting private and saving the setting. By default, they are public.
topell I read your advice to click Organize to access the photos beyond the visible 537 but I don't see "Organize" anywhere on my Ideabook screen. Please help!
