Window treatments for the 2 small window pictures
There are 2 small window pictures in the living room, any ideas on what would be a good window treatment? I love the architectural details, but the sun shines in very brightly in the afternoon, so it would be nice to have a shade or curtain. I was thinking a roman shade? but they're pretty small windows (31w x 29h), so it might be too much for them. Any ideas!? Thanks!!

Interiors International, Inc. A honeycomb shade or roller will take up the least amount of space.

mcginnis15 Thanks @Interiors for the ideas. Thanks @Fensermann, me too!! Originally I wasnt going to add a window treatment b/c i love the architectural detail (its a very old apt in an old house), but theres a few hours during the afternoon where it's just too bright! I should also add that I'm looking to do a DIY project for as cheap as possible!!

Interiors International, Inc. Your very welcome. I think you are the first person who ever said thank you. That was really nice of you.

Julie Thome Draperies, Inc. I would not want to cover the windows either but if you MUST put something on them go with outside mount romans, mounted as high to the ceiling molding as possible. I would try and pick something neutral as close to wall color as possible so they don't scream out and look small.

coldol1 I would make sheer roman shades that are mounted as high as possible so they clear the windows with their wonderful details. Sheers defuse light beautifully and will not be bulky when stacked.
