Bathroom vanity size
Does a bathroom vanity need to be the same length if you have a short wall? My wall is 70" but most vanities are 60". Will it look fine to have it butt up to the side wall and have just 10" overhang from the other end?

Ironwood Builders Are there walls on both sides? Consider a furniture piece. Or a console, a lavatory with legs.[houzz=

Tisha Reynolds There is only one wall the other area open to the hall. I have found the mirror I plan on using. It is 5' tall. But can't decide which direction to turn it. The wall that the vanity is on is actually the side of a watercloset.

Bradley Bayou Hey Tisha! - It's hard to tell without more details but having the 10" gap might be a good thing, allowing for maybe a small shelving unit, towel bar holder, or space to hide an additional toilet paper roll holder. Depending on the decor of your bathroom it could also allow for maybe placing a floor vase with botanicals! Hope this helps.

Tisha Reynolds Thanks I didn't think about those things. That really helps.

Ironwood Builders Is the furniture piece going to be cut for a lavatory? Goes with the mirror. A single bowl and vertical for the mirror is my vote. Taller people won't like the horizontal and neither will the height challenged.

Tisha Reynolds All though they do look good together, I plan on using the piece of furniture elsewhere. I need to find a different vanity.

Bradley Bayou Tisha! After seeing your plans...another idea might be to see if you can mount a towel bar directly to the side of whichever vanity you choose so your decor towels will hang nicely off the side. I love the mirror and think it looks nice horizontal!

Prairie Point Interiors Inc Hi Tisha, maybe you could get a 48" vanity and center it on the wall with space on either side for towels etc.. Then center the large mirror above the vanity making the whole area a symetrical feature
