Interiors International, Inc. It sounds like you want a microwave not a new stove. You may need to go with a counter top model and build in a shelf for it. The other choice would be a drawer one but they can be inconvenient in my opinion.

LeMaster Architects Are you looking for a matching unit? Bertazzoni makes microwaves, but they have ventilation for the stove below. Most microwaves that are intended to mount above cooktops have vent fans. If you already have downdraft, then you wouldn't need that. Any standard microwave could be used.

lefty47 HI -- This question is not clear -- are you wanting a new MICRO or a down Draft vent ???? Or do you have another place for a new Micro ?

cair Sorry about that, i would like new micro. just cannot find size that is shorter( in height.) Do not need the vent this is correct, thats all, sorry was confusing! I found many photo's on this site that are excellent similar to my set up . Do you know of any micros that are 15 in height? I found the space saver but, would look wrong with the width only at 24.inches ....to unproportioned.

bdennison You need 16" to 18" between cook top and micro. You can alway remove cabinetry over micro, move it higher, and put shelves if this is an issue
